1- اذا كان حرف جر across - prep.
1 Across indicates the direction of movement from one side of an area to the other.
بمعنى تغيير اتجاه الحركة من جانب الى آخر
The girl ran across the yard. ركضت الفتاة عبر الفناء.

Expression:
across the board—including everyone or everything تشمل الجميع
حصل الجميع على زيادة في الراتب : كانت هناك زيادة راتب بنسبة 3% للجميع.
Everyone got a raise in salary: there was a wage increase of three percent across the board.

1- بمعنى إيجاد شيء بالصدفة
1 - come across (nonseparable)—find something unexpectedly
وجدت صورتك القديمة هذه عندما كنت ابحث عن بعض المستندات.
I came across this old picture of you when I was looking for some documents.
2- يستقبل بالجمهور
-come across (intransitive لا تاخذ مفعول به مباشر )— The way other people see you
لم يكن متحدث المأدبة متأكدا من حسن أدائه.
The banquet speaker was not sure how well he came across.
3-بمعنى ايجاد شيء بشكل غير متوقع – بالصدفة
-run across (nonseparable)—to find something unexpectedly*
عثرت على رسالة كتبتها لي عندما كنا أطفالا.
I ran across a letter you wrote to me when we were children.
4-تجعل شيء مفهوم ، توضحه
-get (something) across to (separable)—make something understood*
حاول أن يُفهم زوجته انه لم يكن مستعدا للتقاعد.
He tried to get it across to her wife that he was not ready to get retired.
nonseparable لا يمكن فصلها عن الفعل
separable يمكن فصلها عن الفعل
